HE SAPA LANDBACK
Goal: The return of all the Public Lands in the Black Hills Back to the Lakota through organizing and Advocacy in support of the Federally recognized Lakota tribes and treaty councils.
The Black Hills being one of the longest existing legal and political battles over land in the United States, there is an opportunity to explore a legislative strategy for land return because legal remedies through the Supreme Court have been exhausted. NDN Collective is headquartered in the Black Hills and since the launching of the LandBack campaign we have stated that the return of lands in the Black Hills is a cornerstone of this work.
