Martell Hesketh

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH & EVALUATION

Martell Hesketh, (she/her), is a member of the Michel First Nation (Mohawk/Plains Cree) from Treaty 6 territory in Canada and grew up on Coast Salish land. For her undergraduate degree, Martell studied Human Biology at Stanford University and later completed her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Washington. Previously she worked as an evaluator at a tribal epidemiology center, where she evaluated public health programs for Urban Indian organizations. She is passionate about utilizing evaluation to reclaim our narratives and centering Indigenous values and ways of knowing to evaluate community programs.
