The LANDBACK print bundle includes a copy of Issue 2 of the LANDBACK Magazine and a copy of the book Let’s Get The Land Back: A Toolkit to Restore our Relations. Written by PennElys Droz, Let’s Get the Land Back provides insight on the various legal frameworks for land reclamation.

“Indigenous Peoples continue to be invisibilized – the LANDBACK Magazine seeks to remedy this by creating a space to share and amplify our perspectives and tell our own stories,” said Kailea Loften, NDN Collective Community Publisher and Lead Editor of the LANDBACK Magazine. “There are currently no widely distributed magazines made by our people, for our people, that provide both a historic lens and political analysis on this moment in time. Land Back fights are being won, legislation is being introduced, and Indigenous youth are shaping our broader cultural narrative – yet we lack the media coverage to narrate and document our stories and impact. The LANDBACK Magazine is one critical way we can be sure to archive our stories; past, present, and future.”
“The LANDBACK Magazine draws a roadmap of resistance, of visions for a better future, of liberation for all people,” said Nick Tilsen, NDN Collective President & CEO. “We offer this truthful and powerful work today in sharp contrast to the many myths about our people fabricated by white supremacists to cover their ancestor’s bloody tracks. LANDBACK — which means a literal reclamation of our physical land, and also of our cultures, languages, ceremonies, and life ways — is at the root of everything we do. This is just one way to share our knowledge with each other along the road to freedom.”
“The movement for LANDBACK is old, broad, and far-reaching; and it looks different for different communities and Nations,” said PennElys Droz, Author of the ‘Let’s Get the LANDBACK Book’ and Power Building and Curriculum Coordinator for NDN Collective Foundation.
“We are honored to be able to uplift the stories and strategies of Indigenous people across our Nations, to share inspiration, practical strategies and resources for the liberation of our homelands and ourselves.”
