Research & Evaluation Coordinator

Job Summary

The Research & Evaluation Coordinator will provide support, coordination, and administrative services for the Research and Evaluation team. This work will include providing clerical and program assistance, conducting database searches, entering and analyzing data, editing reports, organizing tasks and resources, and responding to requests. The Research and Evaluation Coordinator will report to the Director of Research and Evaluation.

The Position

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct administrative and clerical duties to support the Research and Evaluation Team, including scheduling meetings, updating calendars, preparing agendas and materials, taking notes, communicating with staff and external contacts, organizing tasks and documents, reconciling expenses, managing event and travel logistics, assisting with mailings, and completing follow-up tasks.
  • Support research and evaluation activities including conducting database searches; assisting with surveys, interviews, data entry, data cleaning and verification, quantitative and qualitative analysis, reporting, and training; editing reports and other deliverables; ensuring data and documents are current and organized; and helping the team respond to the ecosystem’s needs.
  • Respond to staff requests directly or by routing them to the appropriate person.
  • Collaborate with staff and teams to support and improve research and evaluation systems.
  • Communicate and work effectively and collaboratively with other staff and teams within the NDN Collective ecosystem.
  • Ensure the Director of Research and Evaluation is fully aware of all activities, issues, and progress.
  • Support the Research and Evaluation Team in other areas as needed.

Who You Are

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience assisting with research and/or evaluations, especially in Indigenous settings. 
  • Experience using software and data platforms for research, evaluation, or data analysis.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven knowledge, skills, and abilities from a relevant background.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, online project management platforms, and the ability to learn other systems, software, programs, and applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in spoken and written English required. 
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Methodical approach, organizational and project management skills, and ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and handle tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated professionalism with good judgment and decision-making capability, grace, a proactive approach, and a sense of humor. 
  • Able to work independently at a remote worksite with minimal supervision.
  • Appreciation of and motivation to advance the NDN Collective mission and vision.

This position is salaried, commensurate with experience, at a GS 10 level with a salary ranging from $57,000 to $65,000. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as 401(k) retirement plan, a wellness program, personal leave and professional development.
