Mobilizing to Protect Sacred Sites: Dewey Burdock
The Dewey-Burdock Uranium Project is a proposed uranium mining project covering approximately 10,580 acres across private and federal lands within the Ȟe Sápa. For nearly 20 years, Tribes, community members, and partners have worked to stall and stop this project since it raises serious concerns about groundwater, sacred sites, wildlife, and the long-term health of these lands and waters. The company behind this project, Powertech, has recently gotten a key federal approval but still needs at least 10 federal and state permits for the project to proceed, which means it is a critical time to make our voices heard and stop this project permanently.
NDN Collective is hosting a virtual webinar Wednesday, August 5, at 6:00 p.m. MT / 7:00 p.m. CT via Zoom to learn about the current status of the project, upcoming opportunities to engage, and ways you can help protect Ȟe Sápa.

LANDBACK = Bison Back!
This month marks the 10th anniversary of National Bison Month in recognition of the National Mammal. But as Indigenous Peoples, we have always recognized and honored our Bison relatives for their cultural, economic, ecological, and spiritual significance. This is why NDN Store, in partnership with NDN Collectives Bison Homelands Initiative, is proud to launch its Bison Collection T-shirts. For every purchase of a Bison Collection T-shirt, a portion of proceeds will be used to support our Bison restoration project and initiative.
