NDN Fund Lending Associate

The Lending Associate provides administrative and programmatic support to the NDN Fund and assists the Managing Director in planning, organizing and implementing activities and duties of the Fund as part of the NDN Ecosystem, internally and externally.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the NDN Fund Managing Director, the Lending Associate provides administrative and programmatic support to the NDN Fund and assists the Managing Director in planning, organizing and implementing activities and duties of the Fund as part of the NDN Ecosystem, internally and externally.  Primary responsibilities include managing the ongoing operations of NDN Fund, bookkeeping, coordination of team schedules, and assisting the tracking and analysis of lending data, files, and information.

THE POSITION

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support:  Assist the Fund team with implementation of lending and capacity building programs, provide scheduling and meeting support, design and management of tracking systems and tools to support the team and all lending and capacity building functions.  This may include relevant communications and correspondence.
  • Information Coordination:  Assist the Fund team with disseminating information on programs, coordinating with funding partners and potential partners, and providing information and support to lending clients and Indigenous communities.
  • Lending:  Assist the Managing Director and Lending Officer with intake and management of loans through the different lending software platforms used, provide support to building efficient processes.
  • Capacity Building: Assist the Managing Director, Director of Lending, Capacity Building Coordinator, Loan Officer and Portfolio Manager in building systems, processes, and project management tools to align projects with the right consultants, track outcomes of services rendered, and keep track of the consulting database for future projects.
  • Other duties as needed.

WHO YOU ARE

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Experience working in non-profit organization, tribal or philanthropic setting, preferably with budgeting and administration.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a range of groups, including donors, consultants and community members/partners.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and provide administrative/programmatic support to Foundation staff.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows or Gmail Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and online database software, i.e. LenderFit, Downhome Solutions or similar.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong ability and desire to work in a team environment which may include remote/virtual work.
  • Strong motivation and ability to take initiative.

This position is salaried, commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 – $70,000. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as 401(k) retirement plan, a wellness program, personal leave and professional development.
